You don’t have to sacrifice taste to be healthy!
If you want to entertain and make food that both your health-conscious and not-so-health-conscious friends will love, look no further. I am often asked for good recipes, even though I don’t usually use recipes and instead do everything by taste… But I measured everything out and wrote this one down for YOU so I hope you LOVE it!
Avocados are a wonderful source of healthy fats which are especially helpful for the brain and nervous system. This is wonderful during times of stress! Also, they’re great for children as their brains are still developing.
Jalapeños are a delicious source of vitamin C. They are also a wonderful sinus cleanser! Just be sure to remove all the seeds and wash hands after cutting as you can potentially burn your eyes (or anything else that you touch).
Garlic is sometimes referred to as Russian penicillin— It is excellent for the immune system. Raw garlic adds lots of flavor so add more or less to taste.
Mix these all together and what do you get?
Hot Guacamole!
***Warning: You may want to make a double batch— It will go fast!
Ingredients:
- 4 ripe avocados, mashed
- 1 small jalapeño, finely chopped (remove seeds)
- 4 cloves garlic, crushed (more or less to taste)
- 2 tsp. lime juice
- 1/2 tsp. Pink salt
- 1/4 c. finely chopped tomatoes
Mash together and enjoy!
I especially love this recipe with my raw, homemade crackers, but it’s also great on salad, tacos or burritos, in wraps or with pretty much anything. Store with an avocado pit in the fridge to keep it fresher and green.
